After more than a decade leading students in local churches, Pastors Mykal and Amanda landed at Celebration Church in Jacksonville Florida. It was this experience in a “life giving” church that forever changed their hearts and approach toward ministry. In 2010 they began the process of training and building relationships with The Association of Related Churches (ARC), and on February 12th, 2012, alongside the first 50 Dream Team members, they founded True Life Church. Today True Life continues to grow and reach lost people in our region under their leadership and with God’s guidance.

Accountability and Structure

Believers who invest their hearts, time, families, and finances in the building of a local church deserve to have confidence in church leadership. People are looking for leaders who conduct themselves with integrity and respect when making decisions that affect their lives.

Empowered by Directors

The various areas and teams at True Life are spearheaded by our Leadership Team of directors who empower the Dream Team to bring to life the vision and weekly needs of the church and its services and various ministries. Each director has a pastor they report to and receive guidance and direction from.

Guided by Pastors

The pastoral leadership team oversees the day-to-day ministry and operations of the church. These pastors serve the congregation and are responsible for the development of the church's spiritual life. The pastoral leadership team members serve as Staff Elders and are led by the Lead Pastors, Mykal and Amanda Smith

Protected by Trustees

The trustees are members of the congregation who oversee the finances and direct the provision of the facilities needed by the church. They provide counsel to the pastoral leadership team regarding the major financial commitments of the church. The trustees serve as Non-Staff Elders.

Strengthened by Overseers

The overseers are pastors of nationally respected congregations and ministries who love True Life Church and are willing to provide spiritual protection to the church. They may be called in to help in accountability matters relating to the Lead Pastor if requested by the pastors or trustees. The overseers serve as Apostolic Elders.
